Webmail is a Web-based email service. Our Webmail lets you send and receive emails from any computer connected to the Internet, so you can check your email wherever you go, from a friend's house, from work, from school or even from a web café. You can set up a new Webmail account and email address in a matter of minutes. Webmail is a graphical interface running on Marmot's Web server that allows you to access your existing email account. It's different than using a PC-based client software such as Eudora or MS Outlook in that the email messages and client software all reside permanently on the server, not on your PC. This difference leads to a number of advantages and a few dis-advantages. There are a couple of tradeoffs, but for most people, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
